FAQs

What is the Pan Africa Cultural Troop?

Pan Africa Cultural Troop is more than just a cultural group—we are a community-driven initiative that helps individuals realize their full potential through cultural education, performance, and support.

It was founded in 2013 by Michael Osei Kofi in New York City.

Our mission is to celebrate, preserve, and promote African cultural heritage through performances, educational programs, and community engagement that inspire unity and global cultural appreciation.

We envision a world where African culture is universally celebrated, respected, and plays a crucial role in global cultural enrichment and mutual understanding.

We primarily serve the Greater Richmond Metro Area, the state of Virginia, and offer programs and performances nationwide.

We offer educational workshops, musical and theatrical performances, leadership training, and cultural events centered around African dance, drumming, and traditions.

Our programs are open to children, youth, and community members who are passionate about African culture and personal growth.

We have a diverse team of seven cultural experts who bring talent, passion, and award-winning curriculum strategies to support individuals at every developmental level.

Yes, we work with cultural groups and individuals across three countries to expand the reach and impact of African heritage.

We use a holistic, village-style approach to education and development, nurturing identity, leadership, and confidence in participants through cultural engagement and mentorship.
